YOGA OPTIONS

Hatha

Hatha yoga is perhaps the most beginner friendly style of yoga and has become one of our most popular offerings in the workplace. A traditional Hatha class will incorporate breathing, meditation, and basic postures. Classes are typically slower paced and provide an excellent introduction to the holistic benefits of the practice.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa classes combine rhythmic breathing with a series of flowing postures for a vigorous mind-body workout. This class links breath to movement and tends to be more athletic and endurance based.

Yin

Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga, emphasizing longer and more passive holds. What’s unique about yin is that it targets the connective tissues around the joints, rather than the muscles and bones. Many people find this style very relaxing, therapeutic, and beneficial for increasing flexibility.

Restorative

As the name suggests, this style of yoga aims to restore the body from stress. It utilizes many props including blankets, bolsters, straps, and blocks to support the body in seated and reclining postures. Harmonizing mind, body, and spirit, this is an opportunity to rejuvenate from the workday.

Sound Healing

Sound healing therapy uses aspects of music to improve physical and emotional health and well-being. Employees can remain in their work clothes as a trained sound healing practitioner uses instruments such as singing bowls, tibetan bowls, tuning forks, chimes, guitars, etc. There are different types of sound therapy, including vibrational sound therapy, which uses special sounds that produce vibrations to improve brain waves, decrease anxiety, reduce blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and create inner peace. This is the ultimate Hang Zen treat!

 Meditation

Guided meditation is a state of relaxed concentration invoked and led by an instructor. These offerings are typically 30 minutes as opposed to an hour, and employee’s can remain in their work clothes if desired. The purpose is to find stillness, reduce stress, and achieve mental, emotional, and physical healing. Sometimes this is paired with a Yin class to create a hybrid experience of meditation and gentle movement combined.
